Welcome - Bienvenue in the wine village
Welcome to our beautiful Gimmeldingen - the wine village that heralds the beginning of the wine festivals in the Palatinate with the "Mandelblütenfest", i.e. the Almond Blossom Festival!!.
Our estate lies in the middle of a tourist region. Viticulture determines the character. Our holiday flats are furnished in an elegant style and are located in the former residential building of a small winery. A spacious courtyard separates it from the converted barn where we, your hosts, live.

Our Mission Statement "Sustainable Tourism"
We can proudly say that we are part of the "Sustainable Destination" Deutsche Weinstraße, certified by TourCert gGmbH (https://www.tourcert.org/).
Haus Mandelblüte is one of the first holiday accomodation provider in our region to be certified. Wherever possible, we try to integrate the topic of sustainability into our offers for our guests. There is only one planet on which we (should) live, and we must preserve it! In our holiday flats you will find information material about opportunities to buy locally.
As our guests you will receive the "Pfalzcard" (https://www.pfalzcard.de/de). This type of guest card is particularly attractive because it allows you to get to know our beautiful region in a much larger radius due to the particularly good public transport connections in our region (see vrn.de).
Hike or cycle a route and come back to your accommodation by train! Perhaps you would even like to travel directly by train and leave your car at home? In this case, a small surprise package with selected regional products awaits you. Here's another hint: bicycles are available to you free of charge (no e-bikes).
We also offer a luggage service on request.

Your hosts

Some information so that you can get to know your potential hosts, Dr Martin Baumann and
Monika Ellinger, a little better.
Dr. Martin Baumann
My husband is a true Palatine. Born in Neustadt and raised in the heart of the city, in what is now the pedestrian zone, he has always remained closely connected to the people and customs of his home region, even from afar. One example: his preference for Palatinate Riesling (Schorle)!

Monika Ellinger
I am a "relocation child". My scenic home is the Schwäbische Alb. I spent seven years of my childhood there before moving to other regions in Germany and later to the rest of the world. Today I enjoy being able to call the Palatinate my second home.

Our holiday apartments
Our Haus Mandelblüte offers you three holiday flats. The flats are furnished with great attention to detail. The partly African and Asian art objects in the flats harmonise with the special ambience of the spacious courtyard. The courtyard is bordered by the sandstone barn on the garden side, where the hosts live. Three columnar hornbeams, mighty box hedges and a picturesque sandstone wall invite you to enjoy a glass of Palatinate wine.

Each holiday flat is named after a vineyard in the region:
Mönchgarten, Kastanienbusch und Goldberg.
In addition, there is the newest holiday flat "Weinrefugium".
